[Kairi has been listening to the comm for a while now. Having awoken in a strange room, it took her a few minutes to remember the circumstances which must have brought her there. And now, with all the chatter about violence and sorrow, she’s certain; she’s not on her island any more.]

What world is this?

Or is this a vessel that travels between worlds?

[It doesn’t look like a gummi ship. But then she knows as much about gummis as she does about this strange communication device.

There’s a pause and then a sigh. It can’t hurt to ask, can it?]

Kidnapped? No, that can't be right. I escaped from Axel. That's how I ended up here.

My friends. We were separated a while ago, but they said they'd come back to me. But I waited and well... They didn't. So I've come looking for them.

But I guess that means you don't know them?

I have before. And I chose to leave my world this time...

I don't think I could do it again without help. You need a special kind of ship, or a portal. I don't have the power to make things like that.

I didn't know traveling between was possible until my world disappeared. My friends were separated and traveled to all kinds of worlds. But this one is very strange. Maybe we can't leave.

Oh, it was restored again. All the worlds that disappeared were. That's not how I ended up here.

Be careful, though. Parts of the boat can be dangerous. And its really big, so its easy to get lost.

As long as you don't start picking fights with passengers or crew, he shouldn't be too difficult to avoid.

One would assume as much, but one would also assume that a boat with such a high population would need to make dock more than once a year, and that new passengers would not arrive despite no sight of any other vessel for months, and that a bobcat would not prefer quail to pheasant.

What have we learned here? There's no accounting for others, especially when game birds are involved.

If it were, my girl, a more magical world this would be. Bobcats, though, tend not to be sociable. They stick only to their holes, tending only to their mates, and investing only in long-term bonds.
